Description:

We maintain the oldest relic of the Berlin Wall, the former GDR watch tower near Potsdamer Platz. There we illuminate, via a profound historical context, the constantly posed question: "where was the wall?" to international visitors, school groups, and students. This includes the ever more perfected border fortifications, standing guard on the tower, and the changing topography after reunification. As visitors ascend the ladders leading to the canopy, they get a whiff of the Cold War.
